Thanks for mentioning!Artesh, if you look the "screen walls" on Nogonbad and Bamburgh are almost identical, this castle building "technology" was learned by the Normans on the crusades. A typical Norman castle before the crusades was like this, starting with a mound of earth and a tower and then adding baileys or encircled areas.

After the crusades they had straight walls with towers at the corners like Harlech
