Classic Fighters 2023

Hi guys, CF 2023 held at Omaka, Marlborough, New Zealand was the first since before the virus of unspecified origin and was good to see, with inclement weather plaguing the event and making photography difficult. I Only spent one full day as the previous day I was busy, but did take a few pics from off the airfield.

This was a fly-by a few days earlier over my town advertising the show.

In case y'all are wondering, I did get some shots of the FW 190 (as opposed to Fw 190) flying but for a strange reason the display was flown in the upper reaches of the stratosphere, so even with my big lens they were not very good. I'll post them at a later time.

Great pictures. As I read in an Air Classics years ago, the Staggerwing is a classy airplane.
I'm rather fond of the Anson too.

Tough conditions, great result. Love the worn look on the P-40.
