This is a cool website self explanatory. Enjoy: :D

    Abandoned Little-Known Airfields

I hope I am not posting this redundantly. I found this website today, but can't recall the motivation for the search that turned it up. If I have simply reposted this. Apologies...

    They missed one.

I grew up in the the small town of Brown City, Michigan. Travco motor homes were manufactured in Brown City until the mid 1970s. They had a gravel runway for corporate aircraft adjacent to the factory complex.

MapQuest Maps - Driving Directions - Map
Remnants of the Travco factory complex are in the upper right hand corner of the Brown City map. The old airstrip is to the left (west) of the factory. Looks like it's overgrown with weeds now and the surrounding area has become some farmers field. But I can remember when that factory complex was a busy place and aircraft used the airstrip.

And I may have gotten it from your post.. It's gotten so, I can't remember what I had for breakfast let alone what I read. The old saying:

"I only know what I read, but I don't know where or when I read it."
