Corsair Wing Folding

    Rightyho....I'll try again !. Apologies for the quality, I've had to convert it from the original I took.

    Took this at Duxford earlier this year. Was quite surprised when she stopped almost directly in front of me to fold the wings.

    Thought the right wing took a while to 'extend'. 20 minutes later I walked past the hangar and there she was, up on jacks, with the spanner guys swarming all over her, replacing a faulty hose. Later that afternoon, she was back in the airshow !.

    It was also quite nice to hear the Bearcat wazzing about in the overhead while she was flexing her wings.

    I've attached a photo I took of her getting repaired.

    Works now! Very interesting Gary. I wonder what the repair bill came to?

    Hmmmm, question.

    With wings folded, can one wing only be lowered for maintenance?
