Finished a couple of 1/72 kits -

Airfix Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6,JG53 'Pik As' Sicily 1943


Academy Fockewulf FW-109A8 'Heinz Bar' 1944 plus Kubelwagen


I decided as I had the kubelwagen in the kit,I would knock up a quick diorama base to display all 3 pieces on even though it's not historically accurate.



The aircraft and vehicle were painted with Humbrol enamels and the weathering was done with acrylic 'Burnt Iron' and the trusty silver pencil (thanks for the idea Wayne!)

Looks good. Nice details. I've had the same Airfix 109 on my desk with the botom painted for a couple of months now. I'll have to stop working around it and finish it.

Yes,the spinner on the 109 was hand-painted using a toothpick! I tried masking but got very frustrated
