I stole the idea from Jan's thread, and then I found this page:

I think that making a model of one of Kaj Birksted's three Spitfires could be interesting.

Some danish Spitfires:



Gunnery practice on the east coast of Jutland.

422 in the field carrying the marking "Arrigtrolden", which is the Danish word for a "spitfire".




A low-back Mk. IXE fitted with a 90 gallon long-range slipper tank.




Sheer beauty.
 
Just a question are not most of those Spits with the Danish Roundels post war

They all are.

The first colour photo looks like HF.IXe 41-407, ex PL375 of Eskadrille 725, Karup 1951.

Below HF.IXe 41-422, ex RR252, 5 Eskadrille Karup 1951-52.

Cannot see the serial on the low-back, possibly HF.IXe ex TE296 reserialed 41-436.
