DeHavilland Tiger Moth Damaged in Take off crash

Not much info, but this happened a few hours ago. Watching the late new just now shows the aircraft on it's nose. I'll see if I can find an online photo...

The plane, a vintage Tiger Moth, could take years to repair, according to Skillen, depending on the availability of parts which are harder to find for older aircrafts.

"There are very few in Canada, it's a rare plane. I am only aware of one other in BC at this point…it's a very special plane," said Skillen.

There are a couple of problems with these statements:
over 80 Tigers are on the Canadian register - not really a rare aircraft.

New wings, tailplanes, and control surfaces are readily available - ours is having some repair work done at the moment, and includes replacement of many of these parts, as it is cheaper than repairing the old ones
