Looks excellent despite the hurdles. Tape over decals is always iffy as you've discovered. The Future that you have may not be like the Future that modellers raved about years ago. I still have half a bottle of the original formula and have never had issues. Even Solvaset doesn't mar it.

Final post for this thread. Had to finish the 'kit', the included 4X4 Kurogane. Not as much fun as the kite, but interesting in itself.
