Nice work Andy, a tough paint job.....a thinned mix of your Brown inside and out of the rings will help clean your edges and a bit on the heavier marks of green to tone them back a bit, that you may or may not be happy with ? to semi fix it, then a repeat of some of the green would then top things off, if your game....thats what I would do BUT it's your model...! I feel your pain on the care and application and cleaning frequently to achieve the goal.
I Have not been able to get a good gloss finish over flat paint since Future changed their formula. For the last few years after one coat of Future I do the decaling using Future to wet the surface under the decal instead of water. I blot the decal down with a bit of damp paper towel, clean up around it with a cotton swab dipped in Windex, use decal setting solution if needed, clean up again with the cotton swab,(the Future sometimes turns whitish from the setting solution and has to be removed) then seal the decal with Future. When all are finished, I brush on another coat of future all over before I do the panal line work and finish it off with dull coat. I have had no silvering at al since I started this.I just can't seem to get mirror finishes when gloss coating. This time I used some Vallejo stuff and it didn't work well at all.
Those smoke rings, good lord!!!!!!!Thank-you gentlemen, too kind.
Another session today. The nozzle needs to be cleaned after every ring and the airbrush drained and cleaned after maybe 5 rings. Plenty of warts despite this but I continue to plow through.
