Stephane , IMHO the decal location is correct. It should be almost at the middle of the top panel line ( the fourth screw taking from the front ). The problem of the marking is the decal one that seems to be of a little bit smaller diameter. In the pics of the MC.202 it can be noticed that the Fasces lictoriae could almost fill fully the space between the top and bottom panel lines.

Well spotted Steph and sadly though the decal is in the right position, it is the wrong way round, the axe blade should be facing forward.

So you ar not alone my friend. I translated it into the Polish but thought about the French and wrote in English. It looks like it was much worse way.

Thanks for the observations guys and good catch. Looks like I messed up on my choice of decal on the port side of the fuselage. There are several spares that I have so it should be an easy fix

Thanks gentlemen and scholars. I went and fixed the decal noted above by first pulling it off with tape. It came off in two pieces but cleanly.

A new spare decal was then applied, matte coated, and the exhaust stain was reapplied over it.

I think I mentioned it before but that blue cooling air intake was put back in a week or so ago, which completed the punch list.

And with that, I will wrap this project up. Here are a few final pics that are not included in the finished thread posted separately. When I have a cup of silver paint on the go, I'll add some wear to the back of the prop blades.

I very much enjoyed pushing my comfort zone in free-handing the smoke rings on what is only my second Italian subject. I very much appreciate everyone who followed along and chucked in their support and comments. Special thanks to Geo, Berny, Vic, and Wojtek for providing additional info and for pointing out my many mistakes. It's always good to learn something new!
