Another shelf of doom project i been working on a F4U-1A converted to a Goodyear FG-1A . Wing folding parts wss removed wings bolted shut , wing folding seams filled in . Also tail area metaled over and tail hook removed since its a Island based Corsair . Model sprayed with mr color GSB 365 . Now to mask and spray wing walk areas .

Nicely done so far!

Spent the last week doing paint repairs. After paint had dried i found scratchs in the plastic i thought i took care of filling in the wing fold seam. That was not the case i've lost count how many times tonight i had to sand and reapint . I've now finally got all the repair work done . Once dry for a few days i'll mask and spray the wing walk areas . By the way the Samuel Jackson word was ued quit a bit tonight

Tonight i masked and sprayed the wing walk areas . I have the anti-skid areas to mask next . I had some GSB repairs on the tail i had to sand and respray . Once dry there are two areas on the tail that will get masked and sprayed yellow orange . At some point I'II start painting the prop which will ne fum cause it yellow on barious parts .

Today i got the VMF-223 Orange Yellow paint on the Corsair . Next to mask and spray the anti skids . After that time for clear gloss and decals .

Today i got tht anti-skids masked and painted . For the color i used Tamiya Acrylic NATO Black. Next to start spraying mr colot clear gloss then decals .
