Well all righty than.....

Quinta Studios 3D printed detail set.
What comes in the set. Three sheets, one is the majority of the detail, IP side concoles diffrent "black boxes" etc... and two are just seatbelt sets. One for the pilot and for the Co-pilot and the other for a seat futher aft.

Not QS but gun barrels. The B-17 set comes with ten barrels so I just get it and it works..

Here are the IP decals.

Using a PVA (Gator Grip is my go to, but what ever you like) or a super glue (if using SG be sure to toughly dry you decal before applying), If you don't you will most likely get a white residue.

Soak the decal (Only takes a couple seconds.)

I use blue shop towels for the drying phase but any would work.

First prep your surface as it needs to be a flat surface. Using a file or whatever is your choice grind the surface detail off, than place the ample amount of glue
2025-08-14_10-59-08_174.jpeg

apply the decal and press the excess glue out for a flat fit.

And you too can be an artist......
2025-08-14_11-05-35_330.jpeg

Seatbelts I did the cockpit seat together. I started by dabing glue on the back of the seats and than placing the shoulder straps on the back. than on each side of the seat for the lap belts. I let them dry standing up and then will bring them down later to the seats. Otherwise the glue is likely to come undone and than I use "bad words" and even cuss at them and myself!!!!!

(Yeah I speak from doing it a lot, what's that word,,, EXPERANCE!!!!)

I don't hate you Yves, GRUMBLE GRUMBLE GRUMBLE.....
No really I don't, dad blame darn freaking.....
Hi Don! Was going trough the Revellogram different re-boxings lately and found the following interesting detail:
Page from JAF_B25_Mitchell.qxd5 - 104754-41-instructions.jpg
"My Duchess" strikes again! For more about the model, instructions etc. go to scalemates.
Now the trilling part: here are the kit-decals (copied from internet):
Decals 148_04520_revell.jpg

They give you the contours of the bat-head only! The colour is up to you!
Is this easy or not - no idea. But IMHO could not be harder than with the full-bat-head-decal.
On the other hand the decals you have shown before are for Monogram, not for the HKM-model. If the nose is slightly different, you are doomed with the full colour decal. God knows where a gap will show. With the contour only, small differences can be hand-restored/painted.
Just a thought in the morning.
Cheers!
P.S. Revell-Germany (and/or USA) were friendly enough 2 times so far, sending me decals for some of their older kits (for free or after paying some small amount), after writing them a personal email/letter/message, that my decals are damaged or missing.

Thanks......

Look what I found in my stache.....

And indeed it calls for insignia blue.....

Alsa I can't find the decals but I put a bid in on one.

AND I'M BOZOOOOO and I can't read. My Dutches does indeed call for 15044 Insignia blue and a color match does indeed match..... Well I'll be dipped..

It's the ProModeler B-25J (Monovell)

Seems I just won two of them so I'll have decals for two 499th BS Bats outa Hell B-25J birds.
:thumbright::thumbleft:
I don't have this particular kit to see it myself, but Scalemates show these decals for the Promodeler-Kit:

Obviously using internet photos is not the way to prove any colour whatsoever, but this should be insignia blue (see national insignia).
Cheers!

And after all my arguing, Well I was wrong..... left is Mr. Color 15044 and left is Vallejo 35044.

And those are indeed the decals coming in the two kits I ordered (Just for the decals and both the kit and the AM PM set call for 15044 Insignia Blue.

Dan, I bought a PBJ-1 model today (the Academy rebox of their own rebox of the AM B-25D), which I'll show in the thread for new purchases soon. But here's what I learned, there is a HKM version of their B-25J (the one you have) as a PBJ-1J

It's the same model as you already have, with added wing radar and decals for some PBJs (and rockets maybe, not sure). I know you have much better ways of finding (and purchasing) models than I, so you might have one already or have seen it in a hobby-store. Then let this be just a small "hello":hello2: from me to you!
Here's a preview of this model.
Cheers!

That Monogram nose Don looks like if you split at top/bottom add .010/.015" styrene it would open up enough just a thought?;)
