Finally, I decided to participate in this unofficial GB :D . The kit is the very well known and old 1/48 Bf 109G-2 Hasegawa.

My project is "Yellow 7" flown by Wolfgang Tonne, StaffelKapitan 3./JG53, based at Pitomnik airfield during September 1942.
I didn't find entire photos or profiles of this aircraft, but it exists several partial views with 75 and 95 victory markings in some books to do a fairly close interpretation of the reality. The only problem remains the type of camouflage: Messerschmitt Regensburg or WNF? The 3./JG53 was delivered with these 2 types during the Summer 1942.

Hello,

This was my progress the last week...

Work of the week: fuselage closed, cockpit assembled and installed

Wings assembled and glued to the fuselage

I added wedges to try to obtain the good dihedral (or at least get close to it) and to have a nice join between fuselage and wings

MG holes drilled

And Merry Christmas to all :santa:🍬🥨🎁:D

Hello,

Painting started with yellow markings (started really with pre-shading but it's an habit for me  )

The black is wider at the wing/fuselage joint because the exhaust outlets were painted black on this aircraft and on a few others of the I./JG53.
:)
