I hope you don't mind, snautzer, but I found this location. It's a sweet town in France.

St Valery sur Somme ww2

The google view is slightly off since it's not photographed from the water, but you can see the building on the right bank, where the left bank wall juts into the river and the peak of the building on that bank matches with the google image.
