Picture from the photo souvenir album from Corporal Jack Spangler, ASN 373, 610th Quartermaster Graves Registration Company. This unit was one of those tasked with the grim purpose of processing the bodies and remains of deceased soldiers in the ETO.

As to the Lightning I supposed the pilot is a member of his family but I cannot figure where and when the picture was taken, except that the weather seemed to be rather warm.
