IMHO the length of the antenna should be about the aileron chord ( slightly less ) of the aileron bottom at the line where the antenna was mounted.

Thanks gents, I used the above photo and found the IFF was about 5mm too long so I've taken another shot. I'll edit my finished shots in about five minutes. I also got lower to try and mimic the photo
