That flag of yours is from Northern Italy not Italy itself, there are many people who speak dialects there one is Milanese (from Milan) and another is Bergamascan (from Bergamo) they are completely distinctive and dont even sound the same at all. I learned the insults in both. Unlike you, I lived in Italy for years and watched Italia 90 in Italy with the Italians and had a great time, I watched the start of Euro 96 in Italy and the finish in Germany, also had a great time. When Germany beat England at Wembley in 96 I was getting legless with 300 Germans in the Bar Markt platz in Mulheim, a real night to remember and all parted as drunken friends.
Expats are the very worst patriots, I had 30 years of them.досадно дете
I can understand being enthusiastic about one's ancestral homeland, but there comes a point where it becomes a bit much...Expats are the very worst patriots, I had 30 years of them.
Honestly I could write a book, suffice to say there were many times I heard a British voice and left the bar or pretended I was a local. It isnt just a British thing though others from all sorts of places have said the same. A French person abroad is either the nicest person you could want to meet or Napoleon on tour. My first week in Milan I met an Australian policeman who complained about everything Italian... An Aussie whinging pom. My Japanese boss who was with me even complained that they drove on the wrong side of the road, as well as not speaking English.I can understand being enthusiastic about one's ancestral homeland, but there comes a point where it becomes a bit much...

its different i guessWhy, because people dont know what it is?
Can I let you into a secret, people use flags that are not the same as other flags, thats why they are useful, why would people have flags that werent different?. It is actually an English flag (St George) with green squares. The connection between England and Northern Italy in maritime trade is represented in those flags, and is ancient.its different i guess
