Wars and conflicts of the U.S. Navy
This is the official U.S. Navy site, with all sorts of goodies about every war it's been involved in. The two articles I looked over were the Naval Aviation Combat Statistics, World War II which has the official figures for all aircraft involved, and Naval Aviation in the Pacific which is a good summary of everything that happened. Great resource as well as a solid read. Enjoy!
