F-51D Miss Marunouchi question

Hello I have a question about an SAAF F-51D mustang.
Recently I've bought limited edition Korea from Eduard and marking of SAAF F-51D "Miss Marunouchi" caught my eye so I started searching for some photos of her and I found photo showing her being prepared for mission.

And there is visible that outer wheel cover is green zinc chromate but the "inner" wheel cover is aluminium, is this combination possible?
Cockpit: This aircraft was made in 44 and was in major overhaul in 46 after it's crash so do you think there is possibility of having cockpit repainted in black?
And last one, does she look to you more like silver over NMF?

To answer your questions ...

Ad.1 ... As you may notice in the image below the combination was possible ... actually I have seen other combinations as well.

However the particular kite seems to have the outer wheel covers painted black but not with the green zinc chromate. See the enlarged shots ...

Ad.2 ... IMHO the colour of the cockpit interior was the black.
