Steve does a great job with any plane, but I loved the Tigercat because you see one so seldom these days, and rarely ever in a legal, closed aerobatic box.

Most people who aren't warbird nuts aren't quite aware of how heavily armed it was. They usually see the four 50-call MGs in the nose and usually seem to miss the fact that it also had four 20mm cannons in the wing root that fired inside the prop arc. I bet that was quite some effect at night! Great sound, beautiful lines, sparkling performance, a LOT of armament punch ... what's not to like?

Yep, very pretty machine and it likes to scoot. I used to enjoy seeing the Fighter Collection example at Duxford when it used to live there. I believe it's in the USA now.

Sort of a rare bird anyway since they made very few to start with. Ditto the Bearcat. Not much in the way of production runs at the end of the mighty piston era, but at least a few survive and fly to let us see how great they were.
