was wondering what everyones favrotie naval fighter of the war was mine was the f4u corsair

hellcat is a nice choice i would say its equal with the corsair just think the corsair had a little better performence and looks

F4F. I chose the Wildcat over the F2A because the Buffalo was mostly land based.

My favorite left front line service in 1941 and was just used for training till 1943 so I can sort of claim it's a WW2 Naval fighter:

G.55s was pretty sick (it technically wasn't on an aircraft carrier but what ever) just a torpedo bomber

Corsair for me. Wildcat's a close second, it did the heavy lifting in 1942 when little else was around.

Killed too many of it's own pilots, more died landing the thing than were shot down by the Japanese.
