My other Helmut Wick aircraft, depicted in the days immediately after the loss of his first Yellow 2, he took possession of this new and more famous Yellow 2 W.Nr.5344 in which he likely claimed his 13th victory on the 13th July along with the majority of his victories in the coming months, before his death in late November 1940.
This aircraft is Provisional in regards to the victory markings layout as depicted, as the first known photo of this Yellow 2 is shown with 18 victories, the 18th claim made on the 16th August. It stands to reason though that the layout is likely correct.....time will tell...
