As promised here are the finished photo's of the P47D.
Three and a half months in the making. My only issues with the build have been being able to achieve a good NMF which in the end has worked out ok-ish . The kit builds into an impressive bird and I'm not quite sure where she's going to live, I think I will need some more shelving! All comments welcome and thanks again to everyone who has helped along the way.

She's a beaut Vaughan, and you've captured the natural metal look well. One question, just out of curiosity - is the kit canopy provided as a 'closed' part, with optional separate screen and canopy too?

A realllly splendid result Vaughn......... applauseapplause.
Nice weathering, and the wear on the walkway strip looks so very real.
What you've built would convince anyone doing large scale to get that kit.
Well done.

Thanks Guys I really appreciate the compliments, Bill thanks I used the sponge method( first time I might add) to achieve the weathering on the walkways. Terry the kit came with both options for some reason I went for the closed canopy as I usually opt for the open version.

With all here, Vaughan. It looks very real, and I'm sure Col. Eagleston would be proud. I especially like the cockpit and instrument panel. Your NMF is more than just ok..... would that I could achieve the look.

Terry this is just for you, I masked, sprayed, applied a wash and sealed with Klear the two sections of the open canopy this morning. Here are some shots with canopy in place. Please note that the track guide is missing as it is still attached to the other canopy. Thanks again for all the kind comments. I was going to make a start on GB17 with my 'Storch' but time is running out and I don't want to rush her so maybe GB18 is more feasible.
