looma if you masked an area off but didn't get a crisp line then the paint will have seeped in under the tape because you didn't stick it down hard enough or it was on an akward part........

Here is a 1/72 scale F-111F "Libya Raider". I bought it off e-bay a long time ago and it sat in the closet for 2 moves. Then I found a guy that builds models for our museum. They are a much better quality than I could ever do, so I commissioned him to do it for me. So it is "my" model, I just didn't build it.

Notice the attention to detail, even the distressed look on the paint where the wings fold, which happens on the real ones.

I don't know how long it took him to build it. I know I handed it over a while back and told him no hurry. He did take his time with it, and it shows in the quality of the work.

Wurger, I didn't make it, but I think that my buddy uses an airbrush and some other tools for it. He does occasionally do model making workshops for kids that are big hits. I am not sure when his next one is, but I would like to photograph the event.

Thank you for the info Evan and I'm sorry for my paying no attention on all text of your post  .But, the pics of the model have more attracted my attention. The model is an excelent work.Could you congratulate your buddy on it on behalf of me, please? :D

So, here is some of my work... I'm not the fastest modeler in the World...

1) Overall view on the model I'm currently working on (oh well, I'm working on much more but these actually had been woprked on the last few days...).
2) Cockpits of two Revell 1/72 P-47D's I'm building simultaneously. The pictrures are very darky, sorry...
3) A Chinese 1/144 horror called "MiniHobbyModels"... Ah, it's just crap. why not for $2?
4) The old Blenheim I really want to finish... I made the canopy and sprayed the finish layer of black over it...
5) Another pic of the P-47D's cabines.

EDIT: The pictures are uploaded somehow different, dunno why, that¨s why the number list don't make sense...

OK, here we go with the P-47 double build... A small accident has occured when assembling the first of the fuselages - it didn't fit very well, the cockpit base was too big so I treid to squeeze it a bit and the results you can see on the pic #2... Thus the first plane will be with a closed cabin, so no one could see the pedal-less cabin... God dammit!!!

At the very last pic you can see one of the freshly started projects, the 1/72 P-40 Kittyhawk by Směr.

Yes, I noticed that the wheels had been scratch-built. Wondering from what.

Certainly, they are made of paper.I don't remember of how many carton disks I've used but there were 3 ones for 1mm(0.9mm)
That's a pity that the one of the P-47 cockpits has been damaged.I hope you can deal with reassembling.
