I thought I'd share this. It was an impulse ebay buy, £700 with a brand new MOT and promised as good condition. Got there to collect it and was indeed very good condition, undersealed from new and with only 40,000 miles in 32 years. Aside from the mismatched drivers door and a little bit of rust on the wings, it's in brilliant condition. SO I give you my 1976 Datsun 120Y

These things used to be everywhere, now apparently there's less than 50 in the UK. You wouldn't believe the attention it gets, I've had people waving, taking photos, giving the thumbs up and coming over to chat to me. Plus the ladies love it ;)

It does 40mpg around town and costs me 3100 a year to insure, so is perfect for driving around in whilst I save for my New Zealand trip. I have two other mates with old Jap cars, next few days we'll get them together for a group shoot!

Nice find! From the side it reminds me of the old Toyota "Celica", I remember my friend borrowing his Mum's, when we were both 16. If she had seen him drive he would have been locked up till 18 LOL! :)

Yes please. After this, all Skylines became the same.

10 points on the Datto, there's heaps in Oz still as Screamin said, but most of them are beaten, battered and bruised.

I had my eye on a '68 2-door corona a few months ago. Was going to truck it from interstate and everything, it was all sorted. Then it dissapeared from Ebay so I emailed the guy. He sold it to a mate over the weekend. I was devastated. You really don't see any 2-door's around anymore. My sister had a 4-door one with a Holden 202 in it (3.3L straight 6), the thing was an animal, but she moved overseas and dad sold it a year later. I still see it around though, the guy that bought it was an enthusiast, so at least it went to a good home. I'll dig up the pics and post them...
