After reviewing photos, I am going with the original kit part for the nav table. I'm not sure where Eduard came up with their modification for the table but the kit part is pretty much on the money without the modification.
Here is the photo from the USAF site for the nave station. This is a radar equipped aircraft station.

Here is the kit table (still attached to the sprue).

and here it is with the fold down table extension from Eduard.

I don't see the fold down table extion in the USAF photo nore do I see the draw that was added. I guess that's why I have spare kits but I should have looked at this closed first.

As far as the navigator's station is concerned I would be careful. It seems that the table coule be of different type. Also the radar equipment was installed at the different location mostly ( according to the "In Detail & Scale" publication). Here is a shot form the book showing that the radar displayer wasn't there and also the table could have the folded part ( it looks like ) and was of a different shape..

And here is the layout of the compartment I found via the net a while ago. The first image shows it before restoration and the second one after the work. The table looks different from the one posted by you Don. Additionally please notice that the table has the small drawer on the right while the one in the B&W pic above , on the left.

And here is much better shot of the station. The table has the side folded part and the small drawer on the left. Also no radar displayer there. I would say that the stuff could be either repositioned at the end of war or after that. To sum up .. it seems that the table type and the radar equipment in the compartment depend on the time period the particular bomber was assembled.

Well that fixes the issue. Great work. I do have the D&S but for some dumb reason didn't go there.

In order to install the forward interior, (far from ready to do this), I had to start the Eduard undercarriage set. Here is the first part of that. I had to remove all molded detail from the nose gear well side aft of the two molded ribs and then glue in the side walls and remove the ribbing on the ceiling of the nose gear well (bottom of the cockpit) and glue in the upper gearwell.
I also added the rear table to the pressure bulkhead. The photos are dry fit. I also ordered so tungsten putty (about 5 and a half oz (165 grams)), per Mikes suggestion,

which is far from enough but all I could afford and will help. Coming from China it is projected to be here around 10 Jan.
