I guess update time is here.

First I needed to cut out the section on the right side. TBF-1 had a single .30 cal gun coming out from the top of the cowl.

The radio operators seat was folded up when not in use and I have decided to fold it up and out of the way. I had to do some minor surgery to do this. started by cutting the side bracing and then the back rest at the fold point.

Thew early TBF/TBM's had a different attachment point for the radio antenna cable so I had to drill a new hole.

Been cold here too, so much so that my central heating condenser vent froze over, shutting down the heating and hot water from Saturday until today !!
It was warmer outside ( -4C ) than indoors ( -5C ), although step into the east wind, and wind hill was vicious.

Yep, got it running next to my desk.
The heating vent has thawed out, and I now have hot water, but i need to re-programme the overly complex remote control in order to re-start the heating - it's a stupid arrangement, and needs re-programming if the batteries die, or the system shuts down, as it has for the last three days, and there's no manual over-ride either !
About as much use as a chocolate tea pot !!!!

That's still probably easier to do than building those beautiful models.
