So here is the NMUSAF bird!!!
I don't really think it is correct BUTTTTTT!!!!!!!!

Nice subject matter, Don. I built this as a kid and I can remember that typical of Monogram's big 48th scale kits it had issues. I found the nacelles, like the B-29 and B-24 kits didn't sit properly because of the lack of locating tabs, the intakes on top don't sit square either and need to be filed to size. It does look impressive once it's finished though. You'll also need lots of lead in the nacelles to prevent the tail sitting.

This model was my introduction to the B-26, which has a real slick look compared to its contemporaries.

Scribing goes on but is going well.

Worked on the engine cowls getting the (I think oil cooler cowls on.

Part ten is the (from the back) left and part 60 the rt. Doing part ten first and it was sunken in a bit. I used a bit if plastic strip to shim it up on both sides.

Next the issue of weight. I have this lead strips I bought back in the 90's while I was stationed in Georgia. I'm looking to use this. If I form it inside the radio compartment and cut the windows out of it I can get at least half the necessary weight. What I have at the moment is 58g. I need arounf 100 to keep it on it's nose.

Ok. Greg & Maty and all else who want to chime in. Take a look at my girlfriend, Not much of a girlfriend, I never seem to get a lot! Oh sorry went off there. Coming back home. Look at the nose. I only see a single cheek gun! supposed to be two each side. Looks to me to be the upper gun as well. 300 round gun. Commits!
