Aren't there always?Weren't there two South American countries at war with each other but not anyone else during WW II?
Yep, the Ecuadorian-Peruvian conflict in 1941. Lasted less than a month.Weren't there two South American countries at war with each other but not anyone else during WW II?
If they were produced by another country and operated by them, within the Sep 39-Sep 45, I should think so. But I've been known to be very wrongWould aircraft from those air forces count?
I'm not quite sure I understand your question. Why do you need a local conflict during WWII? Peru and Equador were on the site of the Allies in the war. They didn't participate actively, but they were not neutral and even declared war on Germany in 1945. Sweden was neutral, but a Swedish J9 could be build for this GB, I guess. If one wants to build a Peruvian NA-50, that shouldn't be impossible. The real problem is where to find such a model.Would aircraft from those air forces count? It happened during WW II but yet not part of WW II.
You considering this 1/32 (Hasegawa)? Interesting that the markings are a bit different on the tail and front fuselage? The web thread does speculate that this kite had parts, and coloring's, from RAF units. A weird bird at the least.
The top one! The top one!! White and red just 'pop' when presented.Thought I'd chip in with a Swiss Bf109 E-3, not sure which colour scheme to do though.
