Stalled on this once again. Most of my paint are RLM colours. I need Dark Earth and Dark Green. I though I could mix up matching colours but no, always seems to come out to orange looking. Since there's a you know what strike ordering from my go to place is out. So, it's a raffiki tour across the lower insaneland to YVR and Imperial Hobbies. I hate driving ! I hate being in a car !! Next to my old one for colour comparison, I think I was 10 or 11.

Bummer. I have these ones listed

Dk. Earth: Flat Earth XF-52, Khaki XF-49 5/1
Dk. Earth: Flat Earth XF-52, Red Brown XF-64 1/1
Dk. Earth: Flat Earth XF-52, Yellow XF-4 3/1 (Andy)
Dk. Earth: Khaki XF-49, Flat Earth XF 52 - 2/1

I've tried a couple but other than Andy's I can't recall the other

This one as well

Thanks but I don't have any Tamiya paints. I might try a tint of blue to neutralize the orange and lighten it with white. Otherwise it's the big drive !

Actually, I'd work on your green instead of the brown. Maybe start with whatever you have for RLM 70 and lighten it.

The brown doesn't look very different form your earlier model, at least on my screen.

Ha ! Using the Brown Violet I added a bit of Blue Angel blue and some white and got something pretty close to Dark Earth. Masked it all up with latex and sprayed it. Then the decals went on. Spray a coat of flat clear. Cleaning up and trying to un Oscar Maddison my bench I found the bottle of RAF flat Dark Earth. I need to do a few more details and weathering and she's done. And Merry Christmas to all !
