Gday all , got the first coat down today , abit too shiny but it will be all good , hopefully tone down abit after some weathering , still gota mask off some panels and paint different tones of silver but ill let it sit overnight so i dont rip of any paint from masking .

Got a few different silvers down now , thankfully didnt pull up any of the base coat . Anybody know of a clear top coat that wont reactivate the metallics ? im concerned if i use my usual top coat lacquer it will alter the metallics to much .

Assuming your silver is acrylic, I would avoid lacquer clear coats and go with an acrylic clear. I use Alclad Aqua Gloss on my Tamiyas.
