I firstly put down a light dusting coat of AK primer and microfiller in black , then a gloss black base form AK Xtreme metal range , then the first coat of aluminium AK 479 which is enamel but i've heard they have changed the new range to lacquers , then i used Mr metal colour 213 for the stainless and then i decanted a can of tamiya TS-30 to do the top and bottom of the wings , ailerons and rudder which are lacquers , bit of a mixture of paints but they never reacted with each other , i do have a few different clears from Alclad so ill try a few light coats of it and see what happens , try a few test parts first tho

You might wanting to ask yourself why even a clear coat is needed. Given you've used lacquers and enamels and that the finish is already quite shiny, what is it that a clear coat will achieve? Decals can be applied over metal finishes without much worry of the silvering risk usually associated with matte/flat finishes.

Oils probly wont hold on to good with a gloss finish , easily come off if someone touches it and u know what people are like , gota touch everything , lol .
I was gona clear it with a gloss and then a semi matt just to give something for the oils to hold onto , see what happens .

Finally had a break from the rain today and got the front painted a aqua glossed it except for the nose , gota do some chipping first , aqua gloss went down well and didnt really alter the metallics at all .
