Thanks everyone. Pretty low mojo on this build right now but did manage to dip the windscreen in Future and CA glue it in place. Need to apply some paint here and elsewhere to see what more filing/filling needs to be done.

The kit came with three sliding canopies, all of which were broken off the sprues so the identifying each was a bit of detective work. There's only one Dallas hood though and that's what the instructions call for so I'm good to go. That said, a trial fit of all three of these parts reveals that they are very narrow, and don't fit properly over the rails. Not sure if it was me or if Eduard who F'd up but either way there will need to be some fussing.

Finally got off my butt and got some paint flying. I had been spending 10 minutes here and there since my last post dealing with the windscreen and paper drop tank seams which I've fixed to the point that I've found to be acceptable but nowhere near perfect. It's a job I hate doing and tire of it very easily.

I shot Tamiya Aluminum on the tanks and on the vertical canopy frames. The latter were then masked and then the yellow was sprayed. For that, I prepared a bottle of Tamiya XF-3 with a few drops of red as I've never used straight XF-3 for my yellows and always ended up doing that in small batches anyway. Here's all the stuff laid out and curing:

The spinner is just temporarily stuck together with PVA for this exercise which saves on masking the prop blades later. Of course after I cleaned out my airbrush I realized that I should have sprayed yellow on the wing leading edges as well. That will now have to be done in the next session.

Thanks for watching guys. Hopefully I'll be motivated to get more done this week.
