GB-64 1/72 P-51B - One Trick Pony

I don't normally use a gloss coat before the decals. I just use lots of solvaset. In this case I will use a gloss coat. The decals look very thin and fragile and I don't want to risk fumbling them trying to position them on a matte coat.
 
Yes, the gloss coat was the way to go on this one. Thanks for the heads up guys. Decals were very thin and very fragile so I doubt they would have slid into position on a matte coat to easily. All the large decals are on. The checked red decal on the nose was intimidating but it went down well with setting solution. The only hiccup was the Hamilton Standard decals on the prop. One of them took off on it's own and ended up askew. Tried to loosen it up but it wouldn't budge. Fortunately I have a couple of Luftwaffe decal prop sheets with Hamilton Standard decals. Slightly bigger than the kit's but they'll work. Used tape to pull the old decals off and it pulled some of the paint off as well. Repaint required.
