Very true. Looks like some cutting up front would have been needed but I'm not sure I would have cut the back part.

Actually neither cutting at the front nor at back will work correctly. The main problem with the cockpit is the fuselage. It is too short at about 2,5-3mm. Just the 1-1,5mm of the incorrection is at the cockpit area while the 1,5-2mm at the fuselage back. The cockpit conopy lenght is about 26mm what is correct for the 1/72 scale but the cutout at the fuselage for it is about 24-25mm. If the fuselage would be lengthened there the cockpit "glass" fitted without any problem.

As wojtek says, the problem is that the cabin is 26mm wide while the cabin hole is 24mm, so the entire fuselage should be cut and the 2.5mm that are missing according to the measurements added, but since I'm too lazy to do that, I dedicated myself to adjusting the 26mm to 24.8mm and cutting the minimum so that it would fit without it being open on any side.

Thank you all, the truth is that after the time I have been away from modeling and the injury that I still carry, although it has improved a lot, I am happy with what I have so far and seeing that you also see it even more so to continue...

Now the next hurdle, the exhaust pipes...
As we can see in the photos, the one that came with the plane and the one that comes with the kit are very different, so I will have to work on them to make them look somewhat alike.

So let's work on them
