....and it paid off. Are you going to scribe panel lines or stretch some sprue to replace the raised lines Glenn. I stretched some to replace lost lines on my B-26
Will scribe some back in. Most of that area is a big green decal stripe or painted black, so not too noticeable if some are missing
 
A bit more progress.

I finished wet sanding down all the fuselage and wing seams with 400 thru 1000 grit, then dipped the canopies in future and masked off the clear sections. The F-105 canopy has a border of white around the clear so this was sprayed on and then masked off when dry and the canopies installed. The fit was very good with the exception of the hinge bars at the rear of the canopy (see red arrows) which will need some work before the painting starts.
