I'll be doing that soonNice innards. I had problems with the cowl gun hatches on my A-5, still trying to figure out what to remove to get a good fit
Don't bother. As far as I could tell they don't line up. After giving up on trying to figure it out where they were supposed to meet the engine cylinders, I put a dab of glue on the engine end of the pipe and placed the other end in the right spot on the template and let the forward end attach where it wanted to and added a bit more glue to make sure it stayed when I removed the template. Doesn't look too bad and will not be seen anyway. Eduard went way overboard with this stuff. I got a this kit for a great price but if I had to do it again I would pay full price and buy the newer Eduard kit and save myself a lot of stress. Just need to get it mounted in the right place now and the hard parts should be over... I hope.Well done, Glenn. I'm still trying to figure out where some of the exhausts mount to the engine on my -5
I loved it when someone capable and qualified said to me: "Nope. You ain't the one who got it wrong."Don't bother. As far as I could tell they don't line up. I hear you. I got two -5s and a -8 at great prices before I read about all the issues. I'll try your solution once I get my two current ones finishedDon't bother. Thats great Glenn.I assembled the cowling and the engine last night. Over an hour on the engine alone with all the fiddly exhaust pipes. I spray the parts before I cut them off the sprues and gave then a dark wash. A lot of work for what amounts to a prop mount. The only thing that will be seen is the fan and the tips of the exhaust pipes.
