Crimea_River Crimea_River your build in that thread is excellent!

Looking at yours realized I like the looks of the open cowl vs the closed that I opted with
But the kit is going together well with just a little bit of putty and finishing so far

First time I've tried the mr hobby finishing surfacer (I mixed black and white for the gray, which I think was the underlying primer colour?), but the primer itself is excellent

As I'm close to laying down the camouflage I've spent the past few days searching profiles and learning a bit of the factories, the differences between them and the variations of the late war schemes & paints. Side stepping the RLM 83 Blue for the moment, there certainly is a fair bit of different information and actual scheme variances on these Dora's

Between here, a couple of other sites and referencing close W.Nr. profiles & builds, particularly Blue 12, 500670 (this is a great build some time ago)

Using that as reference as well as the all the other profiles and information from all you guys, my plan for the scheme is based on Blue 12 and your excellent summary here Andy

Thanks Gents

Good work so far Steve and thanks for the nod on my build. John Kim's work on Blue 12 is excellent and should be a good reference for you. Nice to see you getting into the world of open cans of worms with D-9 camo schemes.
