The colours kinda make sense, given 72/73 are maritime colours.

Well the cockpit and cargo area is completed. Ready to close up the fuselage. I fumbled on the wings. I neglected to drill out the location holes for the floats in my haste to put the wings together. I ended up hot wiring a Christmas LED to a 1.5 volt battery and fishing it into the wing until the holes shone through. Better than trying to split the wing apart !!

Brilliant!

Well I don't know what I did but the splinter camouflage on the wings I painted first. Then the fuselage. I must of mixed paint brands, the RLM 71 is far lighter than the RLM 71 0n the fuselage. I'm having eyeball problems too which does'nt help. At any rate I'm not too worried, it will mostly be covered in white. As for the instructions, the pattern in the painting instructions looks kind of sketchy so I thought I might paint it like a Heinkel I did years ago. After searching the internet I found a few pictures of this version. Looks a lot different than the instructions but same idea.

I agree that once covered in white you will never notice the difference in the greens. Note that there wasn't always a pattern applied to the white paint. Often it was applied over all upper areas and any "patterns" that might have occurred could have been the result of wear and weather. The white paint was designed to be removable so didn't last long.

If you are doing 1Z+MN per the posted reference photos then I would argue that what you see there is a very worn overall coat of white with no wave pattern.
