Gilbert Horn Sr., US Army Code Talker, has passed

Gilbert Horn Sr., a WWII Code Talker with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater, passed away Sunday, 27 March at the age of 92.

Even though his tribal ancestry was Assiniboine, his dialect was close enough to Navajo to be able to communicate with the other Code Talkers while he was attached to "Merril's Marauders".

He is one of the last WWII Code Talkers.
