Happy Birthday to a shrinking RAF. From a Corps within the Army, combined with a Service of the Royal Navy, to form a separate Force, and now dwindling into a shadow of it former self.
It was announced at the end of last week, that the Search and Rescue wing of the RAF and Royal Navy will cease to exist, the work to be carried out by Bristow Helicopters.
