It would seem that the CWH boy's are bringing their 'Lanc over to the UK for a month in Aug this year. She will be based with the BBMF

Just think, the Worlds only two currently flying Lancasters...quite possibly with a fighter escort as well...flying around the UK's skies. Might even get the chance of an overflight over 'Just Jane' (would be absolutely brilliant if they could get her airworthy in time !) ...now that'd be a once in a lifetime photo op !.

I might take the odd pic or two

Does the "odd pic or two" mean you're going to duct tape the shutter release in the down position?

Having seen both these beauties up close and personal, the chance of getting 'em both together...Oooeeeeer !... I'll not only have duct tape but probably finish off with some cement on top to make sure ! :)

Saw this in the 'Typhoon goes to Canada' thread. Just hoping I can get to one of the shows, as I'm away for two weeks in August. Unless they still remember me at the BBMF, and let me in to play .......... along with all the others who'll be thronging Coningsby !!!

    One Lancaster is singular.
    Two Lancasters means plural...
Can you guess how shocking the news is for us Continental Europeans ?

    Mmwhwroooorauooohomph'mphrrrormmmrrohououmhoorrphmr'hphrhhh....
    [edit : mumma told me]

Do they have a plan for a moonlight cruise above Germany this summer ??

Or, to get everybody in the mood, an unsheduled overflight of Los Angeles at midnight just for kicks ?

    Aaah...
