Yes as Charlton Heston tells his son: "You better shape up tiger before some hotshot Jap pilot flames your butt"
Then said son goes on to have said butt flamed by said hotshot pilot. To which the large fire extinguisher is used in flight.
 
"PT-73" was actually built in the U.S. for export to Russia, it's actual designation was PT-694, but the war ended before it could be exported.

It was bought as surplus by Howard Hughes for a chase boat for the Spruce Goose project and then later sold to Universal Studios.
