I'm new to the group. I'm a retired music teacher and Ercoupe owner. The 'Coupe and I spent nearly 2,000 hours together before it moved out of the area...my new wife got airsick and I figgered an airplane represents too much investment to be used only by myself, so sold it and bought a dune buggy which my wife can ride in without barfing.
Nowadays I enjoy golf and building scale model aircraft...mostly, but not exclusively 1/48 WWII subjects. I'm an IPMS member living in the Sierra foothills, sharing my modeling interest with a local group. I also enjoy reading other modelers' impressions and techniques. Just found this site when researching my next project; Hasegawa's J7W1 Shinden.
I'm not real advanced technologically, but will try to figure out how to post pictures of my progress. Be well, Everyone!

Welcome aboard: It's nice to have a new member.

In addition to military and a tiny bit of civilian aviation, we also are well versed in other subjects such as bacon and various types of cheeses :D

Welcome to the forum!

Love the Ercoupe...perhaps one of the easiest types to fly (besides the Cub).
I spent a great deal of time in this sweetheart:

No pedals, C-85, climb prop, bare metal and aluminum wing covering. I'd rather have the fabric but they did a great job on it, way back when.

It is one of the pre-S/N 813 birds with the steel MLG and single fork nosegear. First owner was the ERCO Employees Flying Club. Fred Weick's wife learned to fly in it.
