I have been interested in WW2 since I was a kid because my father grew up in WW2 and had lots of WW2 books, and I had all kinds of Naval models.

In addition to my general interest, I play board wargames, and am looking for a site where I can get good answers rather than someone on reddit chiming in who watched an AI generated video.

Welcome to the Forum! You are in the right place. There is so much good information here that for the first weeks after joining you are liable to succumb to "Information Overload", and have to take a rest to recover! At least that's what happened to me over 12 years ago.

Edit: Also, there are plenty "jokers" on this forum.

Question: I have an old board game (Bomber - daylight bombing of Germany during WW2 published by Yaquinto).

I think the values scored for bombing various cities is off.

Where would you suggest I go to research things like:
What were the top 10 production centers of each of (Ball Bearings, Aircraft, Oil/refining (POL), Armaments, Chemicals, heavy industry, etc)
For example - The Schweinfurt complex was responsible for around 55% of Ball Bearing production when it was hit, but the Germans started dispersing production.

Start here: USSBS Reports
Some of this information is probably already in the forum due to members doing the same research you are and placing the info here. Your quest will be to find it through imaginative searches. There's a HUGE amount of information here but it will be scattered among the posts. Get started, and good luck!

I cannot answer the Schweinfurt question...but welcome aboard.

Welcome!
If you enjoy board wargames, and you like airplanes and WW2, I highly recommend that you get a copy of TIGER WINGS from Against the Odds. The prerelease is underway for the Kickstarter pledgers, but the retail version should be out soon. It covers the aerial battles from Malaya and Burma, to China, the Phillipines and the NEI in the first months of the Pacific War.
It's a gateway drug to the FIGHTING WINGS series of air combat boardgames from Clash of Arms. Wings of the Motherland, covering the Russian Front is the most recent offering and is still in print. It's a well supported game system with an active main forum as well as multiple sites set up for play by email combats.

Welcome amigo!

Welcome aboard!
