I have documents that I believe we're captured during the Kwajalein campaign. I came across an estate find which had a pre invasion D-Day map of Kwajalein Island and all the Japanese targets for Roi island marked. With this set was Japanese documents, hand drawn post cards and a good luck flag. I was told one of the documents is a company level roster, however I don't know if it's ija or ijn. Also one of the documents has an island drawing on it that looks like it's from the Solomons....perhaps the Japanese soldier on Kwajalein was transferred there??? Who can I contact to have these documents translated to English so I can record everything for my museum display? Thanks in advance!!

The Maps you have are from Operation "Flintlock", the invasion of Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshal Islands. "Burlesque" was the codename for the invasion on the Island of Roi and "Camouflage" the invasion of Namur.

Report from Awazu Unit Headquarters dated September 13, 1944
Recent enemy's attacks against Caroline Islands and Palau Islands are being intensified and they carried out continuous attacks on the 11th and 12th. In the afternoon of 11th, 150 carrier-based planes attacked and seven of them were shot down. In the afternoon of the 12th, 170 carrier-based planes similarly attacked. On the 11th and 12th, a Consolidated B24 each attacked Minamitorishima Island but they were shot down. Enemy attacks by planes on the western part of New Guinea and the Moltska Islands continue to intensify but our troops are fighting them back with the great courage.
In the afternoon of the 10th, 80 enemy planes attacked Namre Bay on Buru Island. Four of them were shot down. On the 11th, 70 enemy small planes also attacked. On the 11th, 80 medium-sized planes attacked Brahma, Seram Island. Eight of them were destroyed. At noon on the same day, 70 medium-sized planes attacked Kaimana, New Guinea. 40 medium-sized and small planes attacked Halmahera Island.
Enemy forces are also making frequent sorties against the Kita Chishima (Northern Kuril Island). At 07:30 on the 12th, our troops intercepted the enemy formation composed of B23s and B25s. One was shot down in aerial combat and one was by the joint ground fire and interception by a naval vessel. Gave damage to another one.
Ourunit troops carried out a ferocious and resolute operation from Weiyang to the westward straightly in China. In the afternoon of the 9th, our troops broke through the provincial border into Guangxi Province and reached all the way to Quanxian(全県). In fact, they advanced 40 kilo-meters further than Dong'an which was the goal announced by the Chongqing Military Commission's propaganda. Breaking through the border of Guangxi Province was different from the conventional capture of Nanning from southern China as this was the first time to invade from central China. Guangxi Province which was traditionally a rear base has now become a frontline base and the role of Guilin as the frontline base is to be restricted, making it difficult for the B29s of the US 20th Air Group to function effectively. In other words, the fall of the breadbaskets of Henan and Hunan not only cut off communication with Chongqing from east to west but also blocked the base of enemy aircraft in the hinterlands of Sichuan, Yunnan Province making the B29s directly threatened by our air force. Their activities must be severely curtailed.
As a result, the decisive battle between Japan and the United States on the continent is finally becoming full-fledged but , as the UP telegram points out, as the war intensifies, the Chinese people refrain from taking a passive attitude and actively cooperate with our forces. The United States which fears the impact this will give to its Pacific operations is scrambling to defend itself and this is something tough for us to deal with.
In March 1938, Industrial Bank of Japan, Bank of Japan, and Shokin Bank invested 12.5 million yen in the Central United Reserve Bank of North China (Federal Bank). Last year, a credit agreement of 200 million yen was made but, on the 13th, a formal agreement was concluded with the Bank of Japan to extend credit of an additional 200 million yen. It is expected that this will greatly contribute to the soundness of the northern China's currency system.

衛陽から一路西に猛烈果敢な作戦を展開九日午後省境を突破し広西省に突入したが重慶電報が報ずる処によれば我軍は省境を遥かに突破全県に達した在支米空軍は全県の渡河兵を爆撃したと発表しているが重慶軍事委員会で発表している東安より更に四十粁進撃している訳である。広西省境を突破した事は南支から南寧を攻略しただけで中支からの進攻は初めてであるが従来後の基地としての広西省は既に前線となり桂林の第一線基地としての役割も制約せられ米第二十航空部隊のB29の活躍も機能発揮困難となって来た。即ち穀倉河南湖南の陥落は重慶への連絡を東西に分断し且つ敵機の基地を雲南四川の奥地に封じ込めB29も直接我航空部隊の脅威を受ける事となり活動は甚だしく減殺されざるを得ない
これにより大陸に於ける日米の決戦は漸く本格的となりつつあるがUP電報も指摘しているが如く戦争が激しくなるに従い民衆は傍観的態度を控り我占領下民衆は積極的に協力の傾向にあるが米国はこれが太平洋作戦に及ぼす影響を恐れ防禦に躍起となっておりこれはなかなか侮り難いものがある。
華北の中央聯合準備銀行（聯銀）に対し昭和十三年三月興銀、日銀、正金より設立出資金として千二百五十万円を出資昨年二億円の信用供与契約を為したが十三日更に二億円の信用供与を為す旨日銀との間に正式契約が成立したが北支の通貨制度の健全に資するもの多大なものがあると期待されている。
