HOW BIG IS YOUR SNOWBLOWER?

Seriously i hate to think what would happen here if we had real extremes of weather.
Couple of cm of snow, roads block everywhere, floods from a decent rain storm, roads melt if we get any temperature approaching 30'c.
Here we had 2 huge snow storms in the last 3 weeks (lake effect snow from Lake Michigan) with over 2' of snow on the ground so my snow blowers have been getting a workout. But last year I didn't use them once and even with stabilizer in the gas neither would start and I had to take the carbs apart to get them started. The gas they sell here now days is terrible. This spring I'll be sure to drain the tanks and carbs and shoot them with some gumout.

How big is my what?
The hell is a "SNOWBLOWER", Geo, have you been hanging around 'those' porn sites again?

I think that's one of the girls in the strip clubs where the northerners (snowbirds) hang out.

I've only ever seen snow once in my life - 1976.
Didn't like it.

Central Florida, by any chance? That's the only time since the 1950s we've had snow down here. I was a sophomore in college and had to drive to school that morning. Before I left, I lifted the solid layer of ice (the ice pizza) off the birdbath, because the birds were starting to get really pissed off they couldn't get to the water. The people actually FROM Florida were freaking out, "driving in the snow," even though there was very little and it had already melted on the roads as soon as a few cars drove over it. Being from Chicago, I just shook my head and went on my merry way.

I was a communications major with quite a few journalism courses, so I walked into class and mentioned to the instructor that every newspaper would have the same picture on the front page that day (afternoon papers) or the next day (morning papers). Sure enough, they all did, even our school newspaper (which made me hang my head in shame). Each one had a variation of a car windshield or back window, with the word "SNOW" written into the snow with someone's finger. We had a discussion the next day about "avoiding cliches in journalism." :D

A lifetime ago, when I was stationed in Northern Maine, with SAC, ground crew for the B-52's that were there, we had flight line clearance trucks like this. This is a borrowed image of a newer version, but the design is the same as the ones we waited on to clear the hardstands where the birds were moved to. Mumbley-peg with B-52's, after every snow storm was so much fun. The snow trucks were driven by local civilians, and some of the USAF maintainers had a cruel streak. They would take an old field jacket, and wrap it around a one-gallon can of MIL-5606 hydraulic fluid (which is very red in color), and bury it in a snow bank. When the huge augur eventually hits it, a flash of green, and a spectacular spray of red from the discharge chute ensues. For a moment, it appears a body has been ingested, chewed up, and spat out.
No idea how much cone remover was needed after any of these incidents....
Good times, good times...
