How much to build a kit?

This post is probably o.t. and, personally, I will never build a kit for money, but
just in case you are interested or simply curious, I found on e-bay a guy offering this service, with a good quality.

I've never understood that. I'll see them pop up every now and then, and they're always ridiculously expensive. I'm not sure why you'd buy one.

For me this hobby is:
- identify the subject I want to replicate
- do as much research as possible on the subject (details, painting etc)
- assembly it to my best (the most enjoyable part)
- place it in the cabinet next to the others.

But there are several people that don't have the time or the skill, but like to collect them and they have the money.

I know a few modelers on an Italian forum that assembly nice aircraft models for money and this practice is also quite frequent among modelers doing figurines.
