The old Aurora F-90 would be my uniocorn kit. Had one as a kid and destroyed it.

One of my first "serious" models was a MPC 1970 Dodge Charger. It was probably $4.99 at local shop. Did a reasonable job building and painting it and in the 80's, I threw it and a bunch of my high school car builds out. No space, starting to come apart, not interested in keeping them. Years later and even now it would be worth $100+ There are now better 70 Charger kits but that issue was never re-released. Turns out many of the molds of cars from 60's - 70's were recut to make customs or race versions and couldn't ever be returned to stock form.
It was the stock version with the loop bumper; the car I wanted to drive to high school.

We tried to launch my sister's Barbie doll into space by strapping several bottle rockets to her back. Our attempt failed miserably to get her off the ground, but the explosion at the end was wickedly satisfying. My sister never forgave us.In my place to get a bigger fire cracker in the fuselage of a Bf109E model without destroying it on forehand.
