The lighting in the shot is why I always show up at Camarillo at the crack of dawn. The sunrise lighting makes for some cool shots, like that one. Unfortunately, there is often a marine layer that time of year so you either get neat lighting, or complete gray.
As a free tip, the beginning and the end of the day are the best times to get cool lighting for airplanes. If you can get an air-to-air first thing in the morning or just before sunset, it's awesome.
